Cornerstone is a nonprofit housing finance intermediary for supportive housing. We award loans and recoverable grants in exchange for long term commitments to provide housing for people with mental illness. In conjunction with traditional lenders and government sources, Cornerstone's capital funds the purchase and renovation of housing.

Cornerstone's financing reduces mortgage debt to make units more affordable. Cornerstone can provide short-term loans to bridge other funding sources. Cornerstone provides a financial incentive to invest in supportive housing.

During its first ten years, Cornerstone participated
in the funding of over 1,500 units of housing.
